Pakistan Displays Advanced JF-17 Block-III Fighter at Saudi Defence Exhibition

A contingent from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is displaying its JF-17 Thunder Block-III multi-role fighter jet and Super Mushshak trainer aeroplane at the World Defence Show-2026 in Saudi Arabia.

The event is a premier global platform for the defence and security sectors, according to an official report today. The JF-17 Block-III is presented as the pinnacle of Pakistan”s combat aviation technology. It is classified as a 4.5 generation fighter jet equipped with state-of-the-art avionics, an advanced AESA radar, an enhanced electronic warfare suite, and beyond-visual-range combat capabilities.

Also featured is the Super Mushshak basic trainer aircraft, which is intended to highlight Pakistan’s proficiency in pilot training solutions. This aeroplane is noted for its reliability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance, having been inducted by several allied nations.

The participation is intended to underscore the country’s advancing indigenous aerospace capabilities and operational competence. According to a statement, the presence reinforces Pakistan’s position as an emerging hub for aerospace innovation and dependable defence solutions.

The PAF’s attendance at the exhibition reflects a vision of fostering defence cooperation, promoting defence exports, and strengthening strategic partnerships with friendly countries.

According to ISPR, the show provides an opportunity for international delegations, defence officials, and military industry leaders to engage with PAF representatives and explore avenues for collaboration, training, and technology transfer.
