A woman was shot dead and her teenage son was injured in a violent attack late on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday in the Jahangirabad area of Karachi.
The deceased woman has been identified as 35-year-old Ishrat, wife of Javed. The injured youth is her 15-year-old son, Sanobar.
According to information provided by the Edhi Foundation, the shooting incident occurred near Ibrahim Ali Bhai School in Jahangirabad.
After the shooting, both victims were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for immediate medical attention. Ishrat was pronounced dead, while her son is undergoing treatment.
