The Pakistan Cricket Board today announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh, a selection that notably features six uncapped players. Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue his captaincy of the One-Day International team for the series.
The contingent includes newcomers Abdul Samad, Maaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan, and Shamyl Hussain, who will all be vying for their international debuts.
Four of the fresh faces, namely Samad, Sadaqat, Masood, and Hussain, recently gained valuable experience with the Pakistan Shaheens side during a series against the England Lions in Abu Dhabi.
The tour comprises a three-match ODI series, with all contests scheduled to be held at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka from 11 to 15 March.
The complete 15-member squad is as follows: Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Hussain Talat, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori (wk), Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha, and Shamyl Hussain.
According to the itinerary released, the national team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on 8 March. A practice session is scheduled for 10 March, ahead of the first ODI on 11 March, followed by the remaining matches on 13 and 15 March.
