Top University Board Meets to Bolster Research Culture and Scholarly Standards

Leadership at the University of Sargodha today convened for a pivotal board meeting aimed at reinforcing the institution”s academic framework and research output, a session that culminated in the approval of new scholarly proposals and academic regulations.

The gathering marked the 52nd session of the Advance Studies and Research Board (ASRB), the first for the year 2026. The meeting, organised by the Office of the Registrar, took place in the Committee Room of the university”s MPH.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas presided over the proceedings. In attendance were Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, alongside the university”s deans, directors, and other distinguished members of the board.

The participants conducted a thorough review of various academic and research-related subjects. Central to the discussion was the evaluation and subsequent sanctioning of new research proposals and updated academic ordinances.

The decisions made during the session are part of a strategic initiative to elevate the university”s academic standards and cultivate a more robust research culture within the institution.
