The head of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya (TNFJ), Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi, has described deviation from Quranic teachings as the root cause of global suffering and called for full participation in the upcoming Youm Al-Quds rallies to support the oppressed people of Kashmir and Palestine.
Addressing the central ceremony of “Jashan-e-Nuzool-e-Quran” at Jami Masjid Ahl-e-Bait in Wah Cantt today, Allama Muqaddasi said that the Holy Quran is a complete code of life, and turning away from its universal message is the root of many problems facing humanity.
He appealed to all compatriots to participate fully in the Youm Al-Quds demonstrations to express solidarity with the recovery of Al-Quds Al-Sharif and Muslim freedom movements. He declared that “our motto is to express disgust with the oppressors and support for the oppressed.”
Allama Muqaddasi said that humanity, especially the Muslim Ummah, is currently “being crushed under the millstone of colonial oppression” and urged every conscious person to raise their voice against this injustice. He vowed that the struggle to support the oppressed and express disgust with the aggressors will continue until justice is established and “tyranny and barbarism are completely eliminated.”
Speaking on national affairs, he announced that Imams in Friday congregations will strongly condemn oppression and express support for the oppressed around the world. He urged the public to remain vigilant and demonstrate practical unity to thwart the “conspiracies of the common enemy,” while demanding that politicians build an Islamic democratic welfare state and become “an impregnable wall to thwart India’s aggressive designs.”
In a separate address at Jami Masjid Khadijatul Kubra in Tarlai, TNFJ’s Central Secretary-General Allama Raja Basharat Imami described the Quran as “a guarantee of good fortune and success for all worlds.” He said that Muslims and the oppressed are being labeled as extremists and terrorists because they have become neglectful of divine commands.
Allama Imami argued that if followers make the Quran their guiding light, promote unity, and practice righteousness, then “even the greatest enemy of humanity cannot harm us.” He concluded with special prayers for the resolution of the Islamic world’s problems, the stability of Pakistan, the success of its armed forces, and the security and sanctity of holy places.
These statements were made during the countrywide Jashan-e-Nuzool-e-Quran celebrations, which were initiated by the late Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. Thousands of devotees participated in gatherings and observed Shab-e-Qadr (the Night of Power) in mosques and Imambargahs across the country, including in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
