Punjab University Confers Doctorates Across Diverse Academic Disciplines

The University of the Punjab has augmented the country”s pool of advanced researchers by conferring Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees upon five scholars from a range of scientific and humanities-based disciplines, an official announcement confirmed on Wednesday.

According to the university information today, the successful candidates were recognised for completing their extensive research and have now attained the highest academic qualification in their respective fields of study.

The new doctorate holders include Sidra Tahir d/o Muhammad Tahir Javed, who was granted the degree in Persian, and Zainab Qamar d/o Qamar Ud Din, who earned her qualification in Education.

Additionally, Umme Farwah d/o Rasheed Ahmed received her doctorate in Home Economics, with a specialisation in Human Development and Family Studies.

In the sciences, Muhammad Nadeem s/o Ghulam Yasin was awarded a PhD in Botany, while Sulaman Yaqub s/o Muhammad Yaqub successfully completed his doctoral work in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry).
