Major Bureaucratic Overhaul in Balochistan; Key District Chiefs Replaced

The Balochistan government today initiated a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring the Deputy Commissioners of Kachhi and Loralai and directing them to report to the Services and General Administration Department (Sand GAD), according to an official notification.

The directive, issued on March 17, sees Mumtaz All Khetran, a BS-19 officer of the Balochistan Civil Service (BCS) who was awaiting a posting, appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner for Kachhi district.

He replaces Capt (R) Jumadad Khan (PAS/BS-18), who has been removed from the post and instructed to report back to the provincial Sand GAD.

In a similar move affecting Loralai district, Capt (R) Muhammad Hasceb Shuja, a BS-18 officer from the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), has been posted as the new Deputy Commissioner.

Shuja, who previously served as Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister”s Secretariat, takes over from Meeran Baloch (BCS/BS-18). Baloch has also been transferred from his position and ordered to report to the Sand GAD.

Furthermore, the bureaucratic shake-up includes the appointment of Fit. Lt. (R) Khalid Shams (PAS/BS-18) as the Deputy Commissioner for Upper Dera Bugti, filling an existing vacancy in the district’s administration.

Shams has been promoted from his prior role as Assistant Commissioner in Killa Abdullah to take on the new senior responsibility.
