Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh’s Secretary General Sardar Abdul Rahim has strongly criticized the recent tragic deaths during torrential rains, linking them to government incompetence and lack of preparation.
In a statement issued today, Sardar Abdul Rahim described the loss of life due to collapsing roofs, falling walls, and electric shocks during heavy rains as a profound tragedy.
He lamented that despite prior warnings from the meteorological department, authorities failed to take any effective safety measures to protect citizens.
Expressing his concern for the victims, Sardar Abdul Rahim demanded immediate financial assistance be provided to the bereaved families.
The political leader emphasized that a strong and effective strategy is necessary to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
As a specific safety measure, he urged the administration to immediately remove all heavy billboards from public thoroughfares, highways, and roads to eliminate potential hazards.
