PPP Shaheed Bhutto protests against inflation in Khairpur, threatens wider agitation

Members of the Pakistan People’s Party Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) held a demonstration here today, citing the extreme hardship caused to the public by rising inflation, demanding an immediate reduction in petroleum prices from the government and threatening to expand their protest movement if relief is not provided.

The gathering was held in front of the Khairpur Press Club at the direction of the party’s central leadership.

The protest was led by a contingent of regional and district figures, including PPP-SB Sukkur Division leader Mushtaq Sirki and Khairpur district leader Advocate Attaullah Bhutto. They were accompanied by Sifat Halepoto, Hussain Bakhsh Gopang, Habdar Khaskheli, and other party officials.

Addressing the attendees, the rally’s speakers condemned the government’s “misguided policies,” which they claim have made life miserable for ordinary citizens.

They articulated that the current economic conditions are causing severe difficulties for the common person.

The party made a direct demand for the government to reduce the prices of petroleum products and to introduce measures to provide financial relief to the public.

The leaders warned that if the authorities fail to act on these demands, the PPP-SB is prepared to broaden the scope of its protest actions.
