2 individuals sentenced to life imprisonment and fine for murder in a debt dispute in Okara

A local court in Okara has sentenced two individuals to life imprisonment and heavy financial fines for murder in a debt dispute.

Additional Sessions Judge Khalid Rehman, while announcing the verdict, ordered Adnan and Zain to pay a fine of three hundred thousand rupees each, in addition to life imprisonment. In case of non-payment of the imposed financial fine, each convict will have to serve an additional six months imprisonment.

The prosecution proved that the accused murdered citizen Ahmed Hassan when he demanded the return of his loan from them. The judicial authority’s decision was based on concrete evidence presented during the proceedings.

Reacting to this decision, the District Police Officer emphasized that perpetrators of serious crimes like murder are not entitled to any leniency, and reiterated the commitment to uphold the rule of law without compromise.
