2 Suspects Accused in 100 Robberies from Dhobi Ghat in Karachi Garden Arrested

Law enforcement officials in Karachi have arrested two habitual criminals after a chase in the Garden area, who are accused of over 100 robberies over several years.

Early this morning, officers of Garden Police Station attempted to stop two suspicious motorcyclists near Dhobi Ghat. However, the individuals ignored the order to stop and tried to flee the scene.

After a brief chase, police officials successfully arrested both alleged criminals. Two illegal TT pistols, mobile phones, and a motorcycle with registration number KBO-9998 were recovered from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Irfan Noor, and Faizan.

During preliminary investigations, both allegedly confessed to prolonged criminal activities. Their primary method was to target employees going to work early in the morning.

Investigators revealed that the suspects had been involved in such incidents for several years, and have confessed to over 100 robberies so far.

One of the arrested individuals, Irfan Noor, has been declared a habitual criminal, with past arrests recorded at several police stations including Baghdadi, Napier, and Chakiwara.

Superintendent Hanif Sial, Station House Officer (SHO) Garden, has confirmed that cases have been registered against the individuals under the Sindh Arms Act. He had previously also increased police patrols in the area to combat rising street crime.

The suspects have been handed over to investigative agencies for further legal proceedings.
