South District Police today arrested two individuals during a combing search operation within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station. The arrests were made under Section 54 for suspicious activities, while their identification and verification process is ongoing.
Under the supervision of SDPO Frere, with active participation from SHO Frere and Civil Lines personnel, law enforcement officers meticulously searched various locations. This included private residences, commercial hotels, local tea houses, and temporary accommodations.
Furthermore, tracking devices were used to check individuals deemed suspicious during the exercise. The two individuals taken into custody are currently undergoing the process of identification and background verification.
South District Police stated that these cordon and search operations are a regular part of their policing strategy, conducted across the district under the strict instructions of SSP Mahfooz Ali to ensure daily public safety and curb illegal activities.
