Financial Aid Checks and 20 Wheelchairs Distributed to 30 Special Persons in Sukkur

To strengthen assistance for vulnerable persons in society in Sukkur, 30 special persons were given financial aid while 20 disabled persons were provided with wheelchairs.

By Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Sukkur, during a ceremony today, a total of ten lakh Pakistani rupees in financial aid was distributed in the form of checks worth Rs. 30,000 to 30 individuals, including both men and women. Concurrently, the social organization Na”u PDP facilitated the provision of mobility aids (wheelchairs) to 20 disabled persons.

This welfare ceremony was held at the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD) Complex/Special Education School in Sukkur. Commissioner Sukkur Division, Abid Saleem Qureshi, participated as the chief guest and personally supervised the distribution of financial aid checks and wheelchairs.

Other notable participants included Regional Director DEPD Abdul Qudoos Memon, Assistant Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Sukkur Shabbir Ahmed Memon, Na”u PDP Center Manager Ashraf Pathan, and Khalid Rind.

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Qureshi emphasized the invaluable role of special persons in society. He reiterated the commitment of government and administrative bodies to provide guidance, welfare, educational opportunities, and employment facilities for this segment of the population, and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing welfare initiatives by various organizations.
