Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi today confirmed that the provincial administration would ensure all possible measures for the preservation of historical sites, emphasizing the important national responsibility of protecting Pakistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
Speaking on the occasion of International Heritage Day, the Governor highlighted that renowned sites like Mohenjo Daro and Makli are fundamental to Sindh’s identity. He further explained that the region itself is known as the birthplace of a magnificent five-thousand-year-old civilization.
Mr. Hashmi clarified that historical buildings and cultural assets represent the true wealth of the country. He emphasized the contemporary need to educate the coming generation about their ancestral heritage.
The Governor concluded his remarks by stating that International Heritage Day serves as a poignant reminder of past glories.
