Law enforcement agencies conducted multiple operations across the city on Monday, resulting in the arrest of eight alleged suspects after several exchanges of fire. Seven individuals involved in these incidents were injured, while a 16-year-old citizen was also reported to have been injured by a stray bullet.
The day began with a police operation on Bhains Colony Road No. 05, where Nazir s/o Ibrahim and Shakir s/o Raheem were arrested after an exchange of fire between police and alleged robbers. Both suspects were injured and later shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical aid. Authorities recovered two pistols with bullets and cash from their possession. Sukhan Police Station is conducting further investigations.
Near Gujjar Nala, another encounter between police and suspected robbers resulted in the arrest of Naqash alias Ali s/o Muhammad Ilyas, who was found in an injured condition. Nazimabad Police Station – Central District seized a pistol with bullets and a motorcycle. The injured person was shifted for medical facility.
In Raheem Shah Colony, Mominabad Police Station – West District reported a clash where Tahir alias Tao s/o Dilshad was arrested in an injured condition after an exchange of fire. His alleged accomplice managed to escape. Officers recovered a pistol with bullets and cash, and the injured person was shifted to the hospital.
Sachal Police Station – East District conducted an operation at Sameera Chowk, where Gul Muhammad was arrested after an exchange of fire with police. He was injured, while another alleged accomplice escaped. Law enforcement personnel seized a pistol with bullets from the scene, and the injured suspect was transported to the hospital.
In another incident in Kachi Abadi Sector A-7, Sir Syed Police Station – Central District arrested two alleged robbers. Mumtaz alias Minto s/o Imdad Hussain was arrested in an injured condition, while Muhammad Anis s/o Muhammad Ilyas was also apprehended. After the exchange of fire, police seized a pistol with bullets, two mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle. The injured person received medical aid at the hospital.
Bilal Colony Police Station – Central District reported an encounter in New Karachi Sector E-5. During this incident, Muhammad Umar Farooq alias Fauji s/o Muhammad Siddiq was arrested in an injured condition after an exchange of fire. Police recovered a pistol with bullets, mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle. The injured suspect was shifted to the hospital.
Separately, in the Soldier Bazaar area, a citizen, Ali s/o Rizwan, 16 years old, was injured by a stray bullet. He was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital for medical aid. Soldier Bazaar Police Station – East District confirmed that investigations into this incident are also underway. Investigations into all reported encounters are ongoing.
