Dry weather predicted nationwide, temperature rise in plains, dust storm warning

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) today predicted primarily dry weather in most parts of the country, while hot weather is expected in the plains.

However, a change in weather conditions is expected in western and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as northeastern Balochistan, where partly cloudy skies are predicted. In these areas, there is also a possibility of dust storms and thunderstorms with rain at some places.

According to morning temperature readings from major cities across the country, Islamabad recorded 16 degrees Celsius, Lahore 24, and Karachi 25 degrees Celsius. Peshawar and Quetta both stood at 20 degrees Celsius, while cooler weather was noted in Gilgit at 9 degrees Celsius and Murree at 10 degrees Celsius. Muzaffarabad recorded 17 degrees Celsius.

Regarding the weather outlook for India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, and Anantnag. Shopian and Baramulla will have a dry day, while hot and dry weather is predicted for Jammu.

Current morning temperatures in these areas include Srinagar at 10 degrees Celsius, Jammu at 20 degrees Celsius, and freezing point 0 degrees Celsius in Leh. Pulwama and Shopian both recorded 9 degrees Celsius, while Anantnag and Baramulla recorded 8 degrees Celsius.
