Extreme need for flexibility and wisdom instead of stubbornness at the global level :Former Governor Sindh

Former Governor of Sindh and head of “My Identity Pakistan” (MPP), Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, today issued a strong warning in a statement regarding the world’s delicate economic and political phase, stating that if no agreement is reached between Iran and the US, it could directly exacerbate global inflation, the energy crisis, and severely impact developing countries.

Dr. Khan emphasized the extreme need for flexibility and wisdom instead of stubbornness at the global level, and urged major powers to act responsibly. He stated that the global economy is in a fragile state and cannot bear further unnecessary pressure, noting that countries like Pakistan are already grappling with significant inflationary trends and financial difficulties.

He expressed hope for Pakistan’s future, anticipating positive developments soon thanks to the successful diplomatic efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the current government. Dr. Khan urged all Pakistanis to foster national pride and unite to overcome existing challenges, putting aside internal differences for national unity.

He asserted that state affairs must take precedence over party politics. He strongly criticized poor administration, which has led provinces to unbearable conditions, and proposed an amendment to Article 140-A under the 28th Amendment.

These views were presented during an important gathering held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Sukkur, with the participation of women, urban employees, intellectuals, and various community leaders. Among the prominent figures were central leader Muhammad Panah Panhiyar from Hyderabad, and Nihal Ahmed Siddiqui and Farooq Malik from Karachi.

Dr. Khan highlighted Pakistan’s abundant divine blessings and reiterated the call for national harmony. He pointed to the expansion of the MPP movement, which has become a robust institution after widespread public efforts. He believes that if the perpetual cycle of enmity and deprivation in Sindh ends, the province has the potential to become an admirable model of development.

However, he warned that prejudiced ideologies are detrimental to the country and its provinces. He condemned incidents affecting youth and women in Karachi, the widespread issue of illegal land grabbing, and the takeover of municipal and development institutions by specific individuals, leading to dubious recruitments.

Expressing regret over the deteriorating condition of Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Sukkur, Dr. Khan compared it with the visible development in Balochistan, crediting Field Marshal Munir’s continuous efforts. He challenged the current administrators to confront and solve the problems within Sindh.

He stated that Karachi, often called “Mini Pakistan,” must undergo significant development, warning that failure to do so would be a betrayal of its people. He acknowledged the performance in Punjab’s governance but questioned the current PML-N Governor’s inability to secure federal funds.

Concluding his speech, Dr. Khan advised MPP workers to diligently prepare for upcoming challenges, emphasizing the importance of patriotism, dignity, and respect in their political engagement. He extended his deep appreciation to the movement’s dedicated team.
