Governor Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi today underscored the critical need for accelerated efforts to establish a more informed and robustly prepared society, emphasising proactive measures and effective planning to safeguard human lives against natural catastrophes.
In a message marking the International Day in Memory of the Victims of Earthquakes, the provincial chief executive highlighted the solemn reminder of preparedness, preventative actions, and timely strategies crucial for confronting natural calamities.
Mr. Hashmi affirmed that the administration is dedicating all available assets towards the relief, recovery, and rehousing of communities impacted by seismic events. He added that national solidarity, mutual collaboration, and empathy serve as the nation”s true strengths during such dire times.
He concluded by noting that commemorating those who perished in earthquakes reinforces a profound sense of duty, humanity, and communal involvement. Mr. Hashmi reiterated the necessity for concerted endeavours to be stepped up, aiming to forge a safer, more knowledgeable, and thoroughly equipped populace.
