Kalri Police today during a targeted operation in the city arrested three habitual suppliers of banned chewing tobacco, commonly known as Gutka and Mawa, one of whom has a record of previous convictions related to illegal substances.
Law enforcement agencies confirmed that a large quantity of banned products was recovered from the detainees. These enforcement actions were specifically carried out within the jurisdiction of Kalri Police Station.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ali Muhammad, Fareed, and Ramzan, who is also known by his alias Gangri. Officials stated that all three are considered experienced suppliers of banned substances. Specifically, Ramzan alias Gangri has previously served jail time in two separate Gutka/Mawa-related cases.
Following their arrest, formal charges have been filed against all three. They have been handed over to the relevant investigative authorities to facilitate further legal proceedings.
