Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Holds Detailed Meeting with Chairman Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission at Presidency

Acting President Chaudhry Latif Akbar today emphasized the importance of upholding the supremacy of merit during a high-level meeting with the Chairman of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, Lieutenant General (Retired) Hidayat-ur-Rehman.

This detailed discussion was held at the Presidential Palace Muzaffarabad, where the Chairman formally presented the Commission’s annual performance report for the fiscal year 2024-25.

He subsequently provided a comprehensive overview of the institution’s activities, highlighting its steadfast commitment to promoting merit-based opportunities for the region’s talented youth.

In response, the acting head of state advised Lieutenant General (Retired) Rehman on the need to strictly uphold justice and impartiality in the Commission’s proceedings.

Mr. Akbar further pledged that the administration would provide full support and cooperation in meeting these standards.

Beyond the core agenda, both dignitaries also conversed on various matters of mutual benefit and interest for the state.
