Religious and political organizations, gathered in Jhang, expressed unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Army, commemorating one year of the “Battle of Truth” and resolving to give a strong response to any future aggression.
Pakistan Central Muslim League Jhang today organized a multi-party gathering titled ‘Thanksgiving Day’, which was held at local hotel, Chaudhry Malik Point, Yusuf Shah Road. The conference was held in memory of the first anniversary of the “Battle of Truth”.
Participants from across the district included representatives of various political and religious parties and individuals from minority communities. Prominent personalities present included Chaudhry Shahbaz Gujjar from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Farrukh Sial from Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Hussain Shah Tirmizi from Shia Ulema Council, and Tariq Farooq Sabri from Jamaat-e-Islami.
Further participants included former District Bar President Fareed Nawaz, Anjuman-e-Tajiran representatives Haji Dildar and Haji Hashim, and former MPA Sheikh Yaqoob. Former Principal Post Graduate College Mulla Khan Haideri Advocate, Abdul Basit from Ahl-e-Hadith Youth Force, human rights activist Asif Munawar from the Christian community, and Sikh community leader Sardar Jasbal Singh were also present. Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmed and Ali Sufyan from the Labor Union also participated.
The event was presided over by District President Sardar Mansha Gujjar, while Muhammad Ahmed, President of Pakistan Central Muslim League Central Punjab, was present as the special guest.
In his address, Sardar Mansha Gujjar thanked Almighty Allah on the “Day of Thanksgiving” and announced complete solidarity with the Pakistan Army. He resolved that if any enemy commits aggression again, they will be given a powerful response, emphasizing that the entire nation stands united with its armed forces.
Minority leader Asif Munawar stated that Pakistan’s religious minorities support the country and its army without discrimination. He highlighted the severe challenges faced by minorities in India and, in contrast, mentioned the readiness of Pakistan’s minority community to always defend their country.
PML-N leader Asif Dhadi described the gathering of political and religious institutions as an expression of collective support for the Pakistan Army, while setting aside their individual differences. Tariq Sabri of Jamaat-e-Islami acknowledged existing political differences but emphasized common love for the country’s army.
Anjuman-e-Tajiran representatives Haji Dildar and Haji Hashim stated that the Pakistan Army is a source of national pride and is enhancing Pakistan’s global standing. Shahbaz Gujjar of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam paid tribute to the martyrs and renewed support for the armed forces.
Special guest Muhammad Ahmed affirmed that the entire nation stands united with the Pakistan Army, and hostile intentions will be thwarted. Hassan Shah Tirmizi of the Shia Ulema Council mentioned that people from all schools of thought support the army. Former MPA Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob attributed the current peace to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army. Sardar Jasbal Singh, representative of the Sikh community, said that minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete legal protection and are firm in their support for the army.
At the conclusion of the conference, Sardar Mansha Gujjar thanked all participants and media representatives. He announced that events related to the “Battle of Truth”, including rallies and gatherings, would continue until May 10. He resolved for permanent unity among all parties for the defense of the country. The events concluded with a prayer for national security.
