In an exciting development for cricket fans, the Women’s National Selection Committee has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against the Zimbabwe women’s team. The three-match series will be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on May 15, 2020.
The announcement came today as Pakistan take a 2-0 lead in the ongoing three-match ODI series, the last match of which will be played at the same venue later today. Fatima Sana will continue her role as the captain of the T20I team, with the matches starting at 7.30 pm local time.

Notably, the squad includes two uncapped players, Amber Kainat and Saira Jabeen. Amber, a right-arm fast bowler, impressed with 11 wickets in eight matches during the recent National Women”s T20 Tournament. Meanwhile, Saira, who was part of the squad for the tour of South Africa, will be looking to make her mark.
The complete squad features Fatima Sana (captain), Amber Kainat, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wicket-keeper), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Tasmia Rubab, and Tuba Hassan.
Reserves include Diana Baig, Momina Riasat, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Amin, and Syeda Aroob Shah.
The team will be supported by personnel including Ayesha Ashhar as team manager and Wahab Riaz as mentor/head coach. Additional roles are filled by Abdur Rehman (spin bowling coach), Umaid Asif (fast bowling coach), Abdul Majeed (fielding coach), Imran Farhat (batting coach), and others who will ensure the squad is in peak condition for the series.
The T20I matches are slated as follows: the first on 12 May, the second on 14 May, and the final match on 15 May, all starting at 7.30pm local time at the National Bank Stadium.
