Crackdown against corruption, shortage in wheat stock, and embezzlement in the Sindh Food Department, multiple officers dismissed

The Sindh Food Department has launched a major operation on the instructions of Food Minister Makhdoom Mehboob-uz-Zaman. According to a statement issued today, this initiative targets fraudulent activities, including errors in wheat hoarding and embezzlement.

As a result of this operation, multiple officers have been dismissed. Amanullah Magsi was dismissed due to an error of 65,393 wheat bags in Qubo Saeed Khan, while Food Supervisor Zaib Ali Magsi was dismissed due to significant reduction in wheat stocks in Thul Jacobabad.

Additionally, final show-cause notices have been issued to multiple officers for irregularities at various locations. These measures reflect the Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s stance of zero tolerance against corruption.

Minister Mehboob-uz-Zaman has emphasized the importance of recovering financial losses from the dismissed individuals and intends to take legal action against all those proven guilty. The purpose of this operation is to enhance transparency, improve accountability, secure the supply of wheat, and ensure the delivery of quality flour to the public through the implementation of effective reforms.

This decisive action highlights the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption and improving the integrity of the Food Department’s operations.
