Govt pursuing ambitious agenda of economic revival: DPM

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says the government is pursuing an ambitious agenda of economic revival, industrial expansion and sustainable growth.

In his welcome remarks at the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference in Hangzhou today, he said over the past four years, the country has achieved economic stabilization, and the economic trajectory today is firmly upward, despite external headwinds.

He said Pakistan is open for business and is reforming and rising. He said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also fundamentally redefined its role, placing economic diplomacy at the heart of foreign policy.

Ishaq Dar said Pakistan-China friendship has stood the test of time, changing global realities, and regional challenges.

He said our historic government-to-government relationship is now being reinforced by a vibrant and expanding business-to-business partnership.

He pointed out that over three-hundred MoUs and nearly three dozen joint ventures have been signed, with a total value exceeding thirteen billion dollars, while the conversion rate from MoUs to agreements is nearby thirty percent.
