Lawyers in Thatta Boycott Court Proceedings against CIA Thatta

In a significant move against increasing police violence, lawyers in Thatta boycotted court proceedings today, expressing their anger over the growing misconduct of law enforcement officers in the district. This collective action began after a recent brutal attack, allegedly by the CIA in-charge of Thatta, on a young resident, Abbas Shah, alongside the disrespectful treatment of the victim’s uncle, Advocate Shehzan Shah.

Led by Thatta District Bar Association President, Advocate Aizaz Shah, and General Secretary, Advocate Hosh Muhammad Abbasi, lawyers gathered at the Thatta Session Court and related courts to express their condemnation. The Bar Association issued a strong statement denouncing the incident and called for immediate punitive measures against those responsible for the misconduct.

Prominent figures in the legal community expressed their concerns about the rising police abuses, emphasizing that the safety of ordinary citizens is at risk.
