Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore and discussed overall law and order situation in the country.
According to an official information today, the interior minister briefed the Prime Minister about security arrangements made for Eid-ul-Adha, focusing on the protection of lives, property, and safety of public places.
Naqvi also apprised the Prime Minister about security arrangements to ensure peaceful, transparent and orderly conduct of the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. He told the Prime Minister that all necessary arrangements have been completed to provide a safe environment to voters during the electoral process.
The Prime Minister appreciated the security institutions for their role in maintaining peace, stability, and protecting citizens across the country. He also commended the Interior Minister and his team for effective security arrangements for Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections.
Sharif expressed the resolve of the government to take all necessary measures for democratic process.
