Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said achieving export-led development targets is top priority of the government.
He was chairing a review meeting in Islamabad today on overall development of the national economy and implementation of National Tariff Policy, according to an official information today.
The Prime Minister said active and transparent performance of the National Tariff Commission is inevitable for the promotion of domestic industry, trade and investment.
He said the National Tariff Commission should play its proactive role to facilitate investors and industrialists.
The Prime Minister directed that the National Tariff Commission should be innovated by employing the best practices and modern technology prevalent in the world, including information technology and artificial intelligence.
