Worst sewerage system hits City Railway Colony

MQM Pakistan Burns Road Town In-Charge, Irfanullah Khan, on Friday expressed grave concern over the deteriorating sewerage system in City Railway Colony, an area of UC-8 Saddar Town. He stated that the sewerage network in the locality had completely collapsed, causing filthy water to accumulate and flow through roads, streets, and residential areas, thereby creating immense difficulties for residents.

He further said that the continuous presence of sewage water was not only disrupting daily movement but was also increasing the risk of foul odors, environmental pollution, and the spread of various diseases. He added that local residents, including children, elderly people, and women, were facing serious challenges in carrying out their daily routines, while no effective measures appear to have been taken by the relevant authorities to address the situation.

Khan urged the Water and Sewerage Corporation and other concerned authorities to resolve the sewerage issue in City Railway Colony on an emergency basis. He called for the immediate cleaning of blocked sewer lines and the restoration of the drainage system, stating that such measures were essential to provide relief to residents and save them from the distressing situation.
