The Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, has promptly responded to alarming reports circulating on social media regarding alleged atrocities against women in the Sindh province. These reports include the gang rape of a girl in Jacobabad, an acid attack on another girl in Ghotki, and a similar gang rape incident involving a woman in the Ranipur area of Khairpur.
In light of these grave allegations, IG Odho has today requested comprehensive reports from the Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of Larkana and Sukkur. Highlighting the immediate importance of these matters, the police chief has issued directives for the immediate arrest of the culprits linked to these heinous crimes.
Furthermore, the Inspector General has emphasized the importance of providing the victims with legal protection and comprehensive support. This includes offering every possible assistance to ensure their safety and well-being during the investigative process.
