The Meteorological Department has predicted today that most parts of the country will continue to experience primarily hot and dry conditions. Particularly, the plains will endure extremely high temperatures.
In contrast, Kashmir and the adjoining hilly areas are likely to experience strong winds and thunderstorms, which may provide some relief from the current heat.
This morning, temperatures in various major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad at 21°C, Lahore and Karachi both at 30°C, Peshawar at 24°C, Quetta at 20°C, while Murree and Gilgit are cool at 15°C, and Muzaffarabad is at 22°C.
These conditions highlight the need for residents of the affected areas to remain cautious and ensure an adequate supply of water. The weather conditions indicate variability and uncertainty in the country’s recent climatic periods.
