Karachi Police Launch Tree Planting Campaign

As a significant step towards environmental conservation, Karachi Police have launched a tree-planting campaign starting today, aimed at creating a greener and sustainable city. This program is led by Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan, highlighting the importance of environmental efforts in urban areas.

The campaign was formally inaugurated by Shahid Hayat by planting the first tree at the Police Training College Saeedabad. This is the fifth effort under the Green Karachi initiative led by Community Policing Karachi. The project aims to plant 500 trees within the college premises, highlighting the urgent need for eco-friendly practices in the metropolis.

Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan appreciated the dedication of Community Policing Karachi to improving the city’s environment. He emphasized that environmental protection holds the same importance as public safety. In his speech, Khan advocated for eco-friendly measures alongside technological advancements like the installation of CCTV cameras, stressing the need for harmony in the current urban administration.

This tree-planting campaign is being hailed as a significant step towards environmental improvement and ensuring a sustainable future for the city. Both Sindh Police and Community Policing Karachi have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Karachi’s environmental health, demonstrating strong dedication to promoting a greener urban landscape.
