A comprehensive strategy has been devised in an important security meeting held today at the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Headquarters to further strengthen law and order during Muharram in Karachi. This meeting was chaired by the Director General of Rangers (Sindh), aimed at improving the city’s law and order situation, particularly concerning the preparations for Muharram.
The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Inspector General of Sindh, Additional IG Karachi, and the Special Secretary of the Home Department, along with senior officers from various law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies. These leaders held detailed discussions on security protocols for Muharram gatherings and processions, resulting in the approval of a strong strategy.
Key decisions included the enhancement of joint flag marches and random checks by Rangers and police forces, aimed at ensuring the safety of all religious gatherings and events. The Director General highlighted the importance of proactive measures against potential threats and issued orders for strict control over inter-provincial borders.
Additionally, the meeting emphasized the need for adherence to the code of conduct.
