Iranian President arrives in Islamabad amid warm welcome

Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian today arrived in Islamabad on a state visit to Pakistan.

He was warmly received at the airport by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Upon his arrival, President Pezeshkian was accorded a 21-gun salute while children dressed in traditional attire presented him with bouquets of flowers.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in Islamabad today as part of the delegation accompanying President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, on his State Visit to Pakistan.

Upon arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, Foreign Minister Araghchi was warmly received by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. Pakistan and Iran share strong brotherly ties, deeply rooted in history, faith, and culture.

The leadership and people of Pakistan extend a warm welcome to Foreign Minister Araghchi and the Iranian delegation to Islamabad.
