The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced significant improvements in rural health services as part of its 2026-27 budget.
Under the initiative to improve medical access, the Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Odigram will be upgraded to a Rural Health Center (RHC). This improvement is expected to expand medical services and meet the growing health needs of the local population.
At the same time, the dispensary of Village Council Naway Kalay will be elevated to the level of a Basic Health Unit (BHU). This change is made to improve primary health services in the area, providing residents with a more comprehensive range of medical facilities.
These strategic improvements reflect the administration’s commitment to strengthening the health infrastructure in rural areas, promoting better health outcomes for communities that have historically faced challenges in accessing quality medical services.
These developments are evidence of the government’s commitment to prioritizing progress in the health sector, ensuring access to essential health services even in the most remote areas.
With these changes, local residents can expect better medical care, which is essential for nurturing healthy communities and promoting overall regional development.
