According to the forecast made by the Meteorological Department today, the weather in most parts of the country will remain mostly hot and dry on Sunday.
Morning temperatures indicate extreme heat in major cities, with Lahore recording a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, Karachi at 29 degrees Celsius, Islamabad at 27 degrees Celsius, Peshawar at 26 degrees Celsius, and a relatively cooler Quetta at 22 degrees Celsius. In the northern areas, including Gilgit and Murree, temperatures were recorded at 17 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius respectively, while Muzaffarabad had a temperature of 21 degrees Celsius.
In occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological Department has forecast dry weather with partly cloudy skies. Notable morning temperatures in this region include Srinagar at 19 degrees Celsius and Jammu at 28 degrees Celsius. Leh, known for its cold weather, recorded a brisk wind of 5 degrees Celsius, while Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla experienced consistent temperatures ranging from 18 degrees Celsius to 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against heat in light of these current weather conditions.
