1.176 million rupees in HEC scholarships distributed among 28 deserving students at Sindh University Laar Campus

As a significant step to support educational access, Sindh University’s Laar Campus, Badin today distributed scholarships among 28 deserving students under the Higher Education Commission’s need and merit-based scholarship program.

Each deserving student was given a check for 42,000 rupees, while the total distribution amount reached 1.176 million rupees.

Coordinator of Laar Campus, Professor Dr. Muhammad Tufail Chandio emphasized the importance of this initiative, which aims to ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent talented students from pursuing higher education.

He encouraged the scholarship recipients to effectively utilize this financial support, urging them to focus on their studies and strive for academic excellence. Additionally, Dr. Chandio praised the Higher Education Commission for playing a vital role, particularly in supporting students from Badin and its economically disadvantaged areas.

The event was organized by Dr. Azeem Akhtar Bhatti, who is the focal person of the campus’s Student Financial Assistance Office. Dr. Bhatti highlighted that such financial support is crucial in allowing students to complete their education without financial pressure.
