The electricity supply system in Altaf Colony, Bachal Shah neighborhood, and Shahi Bazaar feeder of Khairpur has been affected for four consecutive days. As a result, there have been fluctuations in voltage levels, which have damaged several household appliances, including refrigerators and other electronic devices.
Despite several complaints being filed with Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) in Khairpur, frustrated residents claimed today that local staff are demanding bribes to resolve the issues. They allege that without these payments, the staff remain indifferent to the damage caused to electrical appliances.
This situation has forced residents to appeal to the head of SEPCO and other relevant authorities at the Khairpur complaint cell to address the alleged corruption. They are demanding immediate action for the restoration of electricity supply to prevent further inconvenience and financial loss to the community.
The affected citizens are hopeful that their appeals will lead to prompt intervention and resolution of electrical faults, saving their homes and appliances from further damage.
