During the Union Club First C Zone Sindh Ranking Tennis Championship, players showcased their skills in thrilling matches in the initial rounds today.
In the first round of men’s singles, Syed Abdullah defeated Muneeb ur Rahman with a score of 8-4. Asad Ali displayed an excellent performance by defeating Zulfiqar Khan 8-2. Umar Subhan achieved victory in a tough match against Syed Muhammad Sufyan with an 8-6 score. Similarly, Sameer Khan secured the opportunity to advance in the competition by defeating Huzaifa Farooqi.
In the second round, Arham Shehzad defeated Aman Mashriq 8-3, while Zubair Ahmed advanced after M. Essa G. retired at 2-1.
In the first round of women’s singles, Tahreem Yusuf displayed outstanding play to achieve an 8-2 victory against Areeba Ali. Tayyaba Baig also demonstrated her skills on the court by defeating Dua Qureshi 8-3.
There were intense matches in the first round of men’s doubles. The pair of Zeeshan and Zubair defeated Nabras Malik with a score of 8-6. Arham Shehzad and Shehzad Khan defeated the pair of Huzaifa and Adnan in a tough match with an 8-7 score.
