If rural Sindh were truly developing, thousands of villages would not be deprived of basic facilities: Functional League

Pakistan Muslim League Functional Sindh’s Secretary General Sardar Abdul Rahim today harshly criticized the Sindh government’s rural development announcement on the occasion of World Rural Development Day. He says that the government’s statements do not align with the current state of rural Sindh.

According to Rahim, numerous villages in this area are still deprived of basic facilities such as electricity, quality education, healthcare, and paved roads. He also highlighted deficiencies in sewage systems and clean water supply, arguing that these basic services are absent even in this modern era.

Rahim questioned the effectiveness of the annual budget reportedly allocated for rural development, claiming that the promised benefits are not reaching the grassroots level. He urged the Sindh government to implement concrete measures, advocating for transparent planning that aims for permanent solutions to address persistent rural issues.

He emphasized that genuine rural development should be demonstrated through practical actions rather than mere announcements. Rahim’s statements call on the government to bridge the gap between its development claims and the actual situation in rural areas.
