The rulers have continuously ignored the city of Karachi: Pasban

In an organizational meeting held today by the Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) in Karachi’s Korangi district, issues of unemployment and insecurity were highlighted, which are being ignored by the authorities.

The meeting was presided over by PDP Karachi President Abdul Hakeem Qaid, and the Korangi District Cabinet was announced. Korangi District President Shakir Ali presented the formation of the cabinet and their responsibilities. The leadership includes Zafar Iqbal as Senior Vice President, Waqas Malik as Vice President and Head of Legal Aid, Naeem Rabbani Abbasi as General Secretary, Muhammad Hashim as Joint Secretary, Kaleemullah Malik as Vice President, and Muhammad Rajo as a member of the District Committee.

Addressing the gathering, Abdul Hakeem Qaid and Shakir Ali expressed concern over the dire state of Karachi. They mentioned major issues such as water scarcity, dilapidated infrastructure, inadequate sewage system, and increasing waste. Traffic congestion, widespread unemployment, and increasing insecurity have further worsened the situation, depriving the public of basic amenities.

The leaders criticized the continuous neglect by the authorities and emphasized the PDP Korangi District Cabinet’s commitment to public service. They pledged to highlight these urban issues on various forums and advocate for the constitutional and fundamental rights of Karachi’s residents.

At the conclusion of the meeting, members of the newly formed cabinet pledged to respect the public’s trust. They promised to strengthen the organization and play an active role in resolving the city’s immediate issues.
