Karachi, November 16, 2019 (PPI-OT): Minister for Narcotics Control and SAFRON Shehryar Khan Afridi Saturday urged the developed world to play their due role in resolving the Kashmir dispute which was a humanitarian issue according to the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
While addressing the participants of an International Seminar on the Human Rights Violations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir, the minister deplored over the direction by Indian Court for arrest of Kashmiri journalist and rights activist Shehla Rashid for speaking up against Indian army’s atrocities against Kashmiri people.
The minister said that the world needs to treat Kashmir as humanitarian issue. He said the world failure on caged Kashmiris is a slap at face of humanity. He said that Pakistan has been playing as first line of defence against terrorism and drugs and now the world needs to respond to Pakistan’s generous support.
Afridi said that fascist mantra of India’s ruler Narendra Modi had been fully exposed. He said Modi was pursuing the RSS agenda that is a replica of Nazism and Indian state is a party to genocide of Indian minorities. “We are going to expose the real agenda of Modi regime and its masters in the RSS. He said Modi’s agenda in Kashmir is more vicious and explosive. The bifurcation and annexation of Kashmir by violations of UN resolutions and India’s commitments on Kashmir made to world and the UN,” he added.
He said by opening Kartarpur Corridor, Pakistan has sent a message of peace to the Indian minorities. “Human dignity and humanity are our prime priorities and there would be no compromise on these values cherished and promoted by Pakistan and its new leader Prime Minister Imran Khan. Kashmir is not a bilateral issue and rather it is a humanitarian issue which may jeopardize the peace of entire region and beyond”.
He said that without peace in South Asia, the world can’t remain in peace. “What is happening Indian Occupied Kashmir is a scar at the face of humanity? We won’t listen do more mantra and rather the prosperous world needs to do more now. The world needs to shun double standards on Kashmir. Modi was banished from entering the US for being a mastermind of Gujarat killings but the world changed its policy with a stroke of pen despite his role in Rajasthan massacre”.
Shehryar Afridi said Pakistan has been contributing to the cause of humanity. “We have been protecting the rights of our minorities. Other than Kartarpur, we are building 400 temples for our Hindu minority.” He said today the entire Kashmiri political leadership stands by Pakistan and admitting its follies made in the past. “Since few weeks there are two jokers becoming talk of the town, one is the fiction tale Joker and other is the Joke done by Modi with whole humanity. World is flocking every day to see fiction tale but they are blind to a real tale of agony in Kashmir,” he concluded.
