Agha Siraj Durrani’s Demise a ‘Great Loss’ to Politics, Laments Senate Chairman

The passing of Agha Siraj Durrani, the former Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, has been declared a profound loss to the nation’s political landscape by Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who expressed deep sorrow over the veteran politician’s death on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Chairman of the upper house of Parliament remarked that the demise of Mr. Durrani has left a significant void in the fields of politics and public service. He commemorated the former speaker as a dignified parliamentarian, a proficient administrator, and a steadfast advocate for democratic principles.

Mr. Gilani highlighted that the late Agha Siraj Durrani dedicated a substantial portion of his life to serving the populace and was instrumental in shaping the political sphere of Sindh. The Senate leader noted that the deceased was a close confidant of the late Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

The Chairman further stated that Mr. Durrani consistently played a proactive role in advancing and executing the manifesto and vision of the Pakistan Peoples Party. He extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the grieving family, friends, and party associates of the departed leader.
