AJK PM launches mask-wearing campaign in collaboration with WHO

ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi on Wednesday launched a mask-wearing campaign in the state in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO).

Speaking at the launching ceremony at AJK medical college Muzaffarabad, he said the campaign, aims to create awareness among people about wearing face masks and other precautionary measures to contain the spread of coronavirus. He also lauded the role of WHO in this campaign as well as assisting the AJK government in other health-related projects.

Meanwhile, WHO Country Head, Dr Plitha Mahi Pala met AJK Prime Minister and discussed health-related issues and WHO’s role in this regard. The AJK Prime Minister thanked the WHO for the provision of ambulances and other latest equipment to the people of Line of Control (LoC) on short request.
