All markets, shops, and shopping malls in Islamabad are ordered to close by 8:00 PM under the new business hours.

The district administration of Islamabad has implemented new business hours under ongoing austerity measures, which are effective from today.

Under the new timetable, all markets, shops, and shopping malls must close by 8:00 PM. Meanwhile, places like restaurants, grocery stores, and bakeries are allowed to operate until 10:00 PM.

Additionally, wedding halls and other event venues must also close by 10:00 PM.

Exemptions from these restrictions have been granted to essential services, which include pharmacies, hospitals, petrol pumps, milk shops, sports facilities, call centers, and IT companies that provide services to international clients.

These changes have been made to conserve energy and resources as part of broader economic measures.
