(Almost 75% work complete on 37 projects for provision of broadband services)

ISLAMABAD:Minister for Information Technology Amin-ul-Haque on Wednesday said almost seventy-five per cent work is complete on thirty seven projects for the provision of broadband services under the Universal Service Fund (USF) costing over Rs31-billion.

In a statement, he said that among these 37 projects, nine different projects of optical fiber and broadband services are underway in Punjab, while nine broadband projects are being completed in Sindh. Likewise, he said 11 projects are in progress in 14 districts of Balochistan and eight different projects of broadband services are being completed in 14 districts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
