Another heatwave and dry weather in most parts of the country, stormy rains expected in northern areas

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast issued today, another heatwave and dry weather are expected in most parts of the country, with severe heat particularly predicted in southern regions.

Contrasting weather conditions are expected in several northern areas. Partially cloudy skies, intermittent strong winds, and rain with stormy showers are expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, northeastern and eastern Punjab, the Pothohar region, and their surrounding areas.

Furthermore, hailstorms are also possible in some places in Kashmir, the Pothohar region, and northeastern Punjab.

The morning temperatures for major urban centers are as follows: Islamabad 18°C, Lahore 24°C, Karachi 30°C, Peshawar 21°C, Quetta 15°C, Muzaffarabad 17°C, Gilgit 12°C, and Murree 10°C.

In Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the local meteorological department has predicted partially cloudy weather, strong winds, and rain with stormy showers for Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, Leh, and Jammu.

The morning temperatures in these areas were as follows: Srinagar and Anantnag 12°C, Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramulla 11°C, a cool 1°C in Leh, and Jammu 23°C.
