Anti-Encroachment and Anti-Land Grabbing Committee meeting held, Sindh Interior Minister orders indiscriminate and swift operation

Sindh Interior Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar has directed the authorities to ensure an “indiscriminate and effective operation” against the land mafia at all levels, signaling a significant acceleration in efforts to address the grievances of the public and the business community in the city.

The directive was given this morning during the fourth meeting of the committee established against encroachments and land grabbing, which was chaired by the Interior Minister. The meeting reviewed ongoing actions against illegal land occupation and considered proposals to resolve issues faced by the business community.

The meeting was informed that out of 21 specific cases related to land recovery and occupation of organized lands, 06 have been successfully resolved, showing significant progress.

The committee reviewed all 21 cases point-by-point and issued further necessary instructions to the concerned departments to expedite the process.

Mr. Lanjar said during the proceedings, “The ongoing operations against the land mafia in the city should be intensified.”

The Interior Minister, directly instructing the Commissioner of Karachi, ordered immediate action on citizens’ complaints and said, “Do not delay and review written complaints promptly.”
