APCA seeks merit in low grade jobs

LARKANA:The leaders of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA), Larkana district, Tuesday demanded provision of merit in the recruitment from BPS-1 to 4 posts.

Addressing a press conference at a local press club, Rafique Ahmed Jatoi, President, Mubeen Khan Buriro, General Secretary, Muhammad Bux Kumbhar, Peeral Dayo, Asadullah Mirjat, Nisar Arbani and Ghulam Sarwar Shaikh said that applications were being received for filling various vacant posts in all Sindh government departments for which a selection committee had been constituted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the each district which was expected to bypass merit.

They said a large number of qualified people were awaiting jobs in the government sector since years, including their children, hence, they demanded of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and chief secretary Sindh to intervene and make relevant departments’ heads as chairman of the selection committee so that political interference could be eliminated and appointments made purely on merit. They also demanded employees quota in this massive price hike era and solution to their other issues.
