Ahead of the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, an urgent deadline of April 2, 2026, has been set for individuals from Occupied Kashmir and Mangla Dam, who are permanently settled in District Thatta, to complete their vote registration, correction, or transfer.
In a formal statement today, District Election Commissioner and Registration Officer, Syeda Humaira Bint-e-Moaz, announced the deadline and urged all eligible citizens to promptly contact the relevant registration centers.
The Commissioner sternly instructed residents to ensure their voter information aligns with their National Identity Cards, a necessary step to effectively exercise their democratic right in the upcoming elections.
Ms. Bint-e-Moaz assured that all necessary facilities have been provided to ensure a transparent process for the preparation and verification of electoral rolls.
To further assist the public, Assistant Registration Officer and Taluka Education Officer, Muhammad Bakhsh Bahrani, has been made available to provide guidance and support throughout the registration period.
The official announcement concluded with a direct appeal to all eligible voters from the affected communities, encouraging them to step forward and fulfill this national duty by getting their votes verified before the specified deadline.
