ASI gets eight-year jail in corruption case

LARKANA: Larkana’s Anti-Corruption Court Judge Jehangir Ahmed Dayo awarded an eight years imprisonment to Writing Head Constable (WHC) ASI Mehar Ali Solangi of Garhi Yasin police station here on Saturday.

 

The court pronounced the verdict after the accused was found guilty of the charge. A case was registered by SHO Jabbar Kolachi against two accused, including Mehar Solangi and SHO Zulfiqar Pathan, for embezzling four Rs400,000 in 2011 of Rustom Police station building and parts of government weapons were also replaced by them. Pathan is still absconding as cops have failed to arrest him. Solangi was handcuffed and sent to jail after the announcement of the verdict.
